From Longueuil, the truck bypasses Montreal on Highway 30 and joins Highway 20 west, then Highway 401 along the St. Lawrence through Cornwall, Brockville and Kingston, to Belleville, on the Bay of Quinte. The trip is about 375 km.

When leaving Longueuil, clear the driveway or the space in front of your door the day before so the truck can park as close as possible. In an Old Longueuil tower or near the metro, book the service elevator and loading dock with building management.
Belleville, at the head of the Bay of Quinte, is crossed by the Moira River and is the gateway to Prince Edward County, known for its wineries and beaches. Its neighbour, Quinte West, is home to CFB Trenton, one of the country’s largest air bases.

From Longueuil, the truck avoids the island of Montreal on Highway 30 and joins Highway 20 at Vaudreuil-Dorion, then enters Ontario, where it becomes Highway 401. The road follows the St. Lawrence and the Thousand Islands through Cornwall, Brockville and Kingston, then reaches Belleville at the Highway 62 exit.
Allow about 4 hours of driving, not counting breaks. Loading, the drive and delivery are usually done on the same day; the date and arrival time are agreed with you when you get your quote. Belleville is in the same time zone as Quebec.
Settling in Ontario brings a few administrative changes: driver’s licence, vehicle registration and the Ontario Health card (OHIP). Add them to your list as soon as the date is known.
Prepare a simple inventory of your furniture and let us know about heavy or delicate pieces. Keep your important papers and a “first night” box with you for your arrival in Belleville.
