You have just bought a sofa, a fridge or a table, and the store does not deliver — or will not carry the item into the room where you want it. Déménagement Bon Avenir takes care of it: we go and get your purchase, we carry it protected and we set it down exactly where you tell us.
This is not a move. It is for you if you have one or two items to transport, not a whole home. We do take a single piece of furniture or a single appliance.
Some items cannot be taken on board, for safety and insurance reasons. Tell us what you have and we will confirm before anything is booked.
We show up at the pickup counter with your order number and leave with the item. You do not need to be there.
A Marketplace or Kijiji purchase works the same way. You agree on a time with the seller, you send us the address, we handle the rest. Depending on the address and the item, we will tell you beforehand what to expect.
A piece of furniture to give to a relative, to bring back from the cottage or to move from one home to another: the trip works both ways.
This is where the difference shows. An ordinary delivery service leaves the box at your door. We carry the item up and put it where it belongs.
Winding staircases, narrow stairwells, balcony doors, tight door frames: that is our crews’ daily routine. Tell us in advance what is waiting for us — the number of steps, the width of the door, whether there is an elevator — and we arrive with the right equipment. If a piece has to come apart to get through and be put back together on site, we also offer furniture assembly.
A piano or a pool table is a different trade, with its own equipment: see piano moving and pool table moving.
We transport the appliance, carry it upstairs when needed and position it in its place.
We do not make the connections. Electrical hookups, plumbing and gas are the work of licensed trades, and a mover is not allowed to handle them.
Please get the appliance ready before we arrive: a fridge has to be emptied, defrosted and unplugged ahead of time, and a washer needs a few precautions of its own. Our tips and tricks section walks through both.
The service covers Montreal, the South Shore and the North Shore, within the same radius as our other services. The full list is on our service areas page.
The cost depends on the distance, the number of items and the access at both addresses. You will find our benchmarks on the prices page, and we give you an estimate once we know your item.
For the delivery, yes: someone has to let us in and show us where the item goes. For the pickup, the seller or a store employee being there is enough.
Yes. Send us the address, the type of item and the time you agreed on with the seller. Depending on the address and the item, we will tell you beforehand what to expect.
Yes. One sofa, one fridge: that is exactly what this service is for.
Yes. Describe the staircase and the item when you write to us, and we will confirm how we will go about it.
No. We put them where you want them, but the electrical and plumbing connections have to be made by a licensed person.
Subject to availability. Write to us with the date you have in mind and we will tell you quickly what is possible.
Your item does not fit any of these categories? Describe it and we will tell you whether we can deliver it.
