Mascouche is a North Shore city in the Les Moulins RCM, about forty kilometres from downtown Montreal. Its historic core grew along the Rivière Mascouche, around Saint-Henri Church and the Domaine seigneurial, now a large wooded park. Over the past twenty years the city has grown quickly, adding many neighbourhoods of new houses, semi-detached homes and condos, mostly near the highways and the train station.
As a result, a move in Mascouche can just as easily be a brand-new house at the end of construction as a 1970s bungalow or a property on a large lot. Déménagement Bon Avenir works here regularly and adapts the truck and the crew to each type of address.
We cover the whole city: old Mascouche near the river and the Domaine seigneurial, the residential neighbourhoods on both sides of Chemin Sainte-Marie, the new developments of Mascouche-Ouest and around the train station, the commercial area along Montée Masson, and the more wooded properties of the Mascouche Heights area to the north.
We also serve the neighbouring North Shore towns: Terrebonne, Lachenaie, Repentigny and Charlemagne.
Mascouche is bordered by Highway 25 to the west and Highway 640 to the south. There are two ways to reach Montreal: Highway 25 through Laval and the Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge, or Highway 640 east to Highway 40. We choose the route based on the destination address and the departure time, avoiding the morning rush toward Montreal and the late-afternoon rush back to the North Shore as much as possible.
Mascouche station, the end of the exo 5 line, has drawn several condo buildings and new neighbourhoods. In these buildings, book the elevator and the loading area with the property manager before moving day.
For a new home, confirm the key handover time and the condition of the driveway with the builder: fresh asphalt or ongoing work on the street may mean the truck has to stay on the road. For a full single-family house, we usually recommend 3 movers with a 30-foot truck.
In the more wooded areas, some properties have a long, narrow or sloped driveway. Describe the access when you request a quote so we can plan the right truck size. In winter, make sure the driveway and steps are cleared of snow and ice before the crew arrives.
