From Brossard, the truck reaches Highway 20 to Lévis, crosses to Quebec City on the Pierre-Laporte Bridge, then follows Route 138 through Charlevoix and the Tadoussac ferry to Sept-Îles, on the Côte-Nord. The trip is about 920 km.
This route is part of our long-distance moves: your furniture is protected with blankets and strapped in the truck, and both loading and delivery follow a schedule agreed in advance. The price is set by free quote, based on your volume, access and date.
Based in Longueuil, a few minutes from Brossard, we know its residential areas and its towers near REM stations well. We adapt the crew and the truck to your volume. For a local move, see our Moving Brossard page.
For a departure from Brossard, check with the City whether the truck can park on the street and clear the driveway the day before. In a condo building, book the service elevator and loading dock for a long enough time slot.
In Sept-Îles, Route 138 is the only road link to the rest of Quebec: we check road conditions before leaving and plan the Saguenay crossing. In town, houses and apartment buildings share the neighbourhoods around the bay; describe the access and where the truck can park.
For a trip of more than 900 km, prepare a detailed inventory of furniture, boxes and fragile items. Keep your documents, a first-night box and the keys with you; in Sept-Îles, one person on site guides unloading room by room.
After Quebec City, Route 138 crosses Charlevoix through Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie to Baie-Sainte-Catherine. The free ferry to Tadoussac runs 24 hours a day and the crossing takes about ten minutes; the road then continues through Forestville, Baie-Comeau and Port-Cartier to Sept-Îles.
Allow about 10 hours 45 minutes of driving, not counting breaks or the wait at the ferry, which can be longer in summer: a trip of this length usually takes more than one day. The delivery date is agreed with you when you request your quote.
A move to the Côte-Nord requires a little more organization: a detailed inventory, clearly labelled boxes and a list of valuables you transport yourself. Pack a suitcase for the road and the first days, before unloading.
In winter, conditions can change quickly on Route 138: we check Québec 511 before leaving and adjust the schedule if needed. Also let us know if some furniture needs to be taken apart or better protected.
In condo towers, book the service elevator and loading dock for a long enough time slot, and check the height limit if the truck has to enter a parking garage.
For a house, clear the driveway and check with the City of Brossard whether the truck can park on the street on moving day.
Sept-Îles stretches around its bay, with neighbourhoods of single-family homes and apartment buildings of a few storeys. In buildings, ask about access by stairs or elevator and the entrance closest to the parking area.
Tell us where the truck can park on arrival. In winter, snow-removal parking rules may apply: check them with the City of Sept-Îles for your moving date.

Allow about 10 hours 45 minutes of driving for roughly 920 km, depending on traffic and weather and the wait at the ferry, plus loading and unloading.
Yes. The Tadoussac–Baie-Sainte-Catherine ferry is free and runs 24 hours a day; the crossing takes about ten minutes. In summer, the wait can be longer at peak times: we factor this into the schedule.
Book the service elevator and loading dock with building management, and send us the building’s rules and the parking height limit. We plan the loading time accordingly.
Our rates include, among other things, packing and unpacking your belongings, disassembling and reassembling furniture, mattress bags and protective blankets. The full list is in the “Included in our rates” section.
