From Brossard, the truck joins Highway 20 east and follows the south shore of the river through Drummondville, Lévis and Kamouraska to Rivière-du-Loup. The trip is about 420 km, without crossing the island of Montreal.
This route is not one of our published packages: we organize it like our other long-distance moves, with furniture protected for the road and a price set by free quote, based on your volume, access and date.
Our crew leaves from Longueuil, a few minutes from Brossard. We know the condo towers of the DIX30 area as well as the houses in the residential sectors. For a local move, see our Moving Brossard page.
When leaving Brossard, whether from a house in a residential neighbourhood or a tower near Quartier DIX30 or a REM station, keep a clear space in front of the door for the truck. In an apartment building, book the service elevator and tell us where the delivery entrance is.
Rivière-du-Loup sits at the junction of Highways 20 and 85, on the south shore of the river. Homes there are mostly houses and small apartment buildings: tell us the floor, the stairs and where the truck can park on arrival.
Make an inventory of your large furniture and the number of boxes, and flag fragile or heavy items. In Rivière-du-Loup, someone on site with the keys and a room plan lets our crew place everything directly.
After joining Highway 20, the truck goes through Saint-Hyacinthe, Drummondville and Lévis, then runs along the river through Montmagny and Kamouraska to Rivière-du-Loup.
It is a highway drive with regular rest areas. Between Lévis and Rivière-du-Loup, wind off the river and blowing snow can slow traffic in winter; we follow road conditions and stay in touch with you until delivery.
If your new address is in a neighbouring municipality, such as Cacouna, Saint-Antonin or Notre-Dame-du-Portage, give it precisely in your request: access and distance change the planning.
Sort before you go, then make a full inventory of every room. Group fragile items in labelled boxes and keep important documents and medication with you.
In residential sectors, the driveway usually lets the truck park close to the door: move the cars the day before. Include the shed and garage in your inventory.
For a condo near DIX30 or Solar Uniquartier, building management often sets moving time slots: book them early and send us the building’s rules.
Downtown, around Rue Lafontaine, several older houses and buildings have outdoor stairs; near the Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup, upstairs units are common. Newer neighbourhoods mostly have houses with driveways.
Tell us where the truck can park and how far it is to the door. For street parking, check the rules with the City of Rivière-du-Loup, especially in winter.
