From Brossard, the truck follows Highway 20 along the whole south shore, through Lévis, Rivière-du-Loup and Rimouski, to Mont-Joli, then Route 132 along the river to Matane. The trip is about 625 km.

In Brossard, newer towers often have a loading dock and specific rules: book the service elevator and check the height limit. For a house, clear the driveway the day before the move.
Matane, at the entrance to the Gaspé Peninsula, is known for its northern shrimp and for the Matane River, where salmon swim upstream right through downtown. Its port is home to the ferry linking the south shore to Baie-Comeau and Godbout, on the North Shore.
This route is not one of our published packages: we organize it like our other long-distance moves, with a price set by free quote. With more than seven hours on the road, delivery often takes place the day after loading.
From Brossard, the truck gets straight onto Highway 20 and follows it east through Drummondville, Lévis, Montmagny and Rivière-du-Loup, then along the river through Rimouski to Mont-Joli. The last 55 km are on Route 132, which follows the St. Lawrence through Sainte-Flavie and Métis-sur-Mer to Matane.
Allow about 7 hours 10 minutes of driving, not counting breaks: a trip of this length is often done over two days. On Route 132, wind and winter snow can slow traffic. The delivery date is agreed with you when you get your quote.
Make a detailed inventory of your furniture and boxes, and tell us about heavy or fragile items. The move stays within Quebec: update your address with the SAAQ, the RAMQ and your service providers, and remember to transfer your Internet and electricity services.
Pack a suitcase for the road and your first days in Matane, and keep important papers, valuables and keys with you.

For a house, clear the driveway and check with the City of Brossard whether the truck can park on the street on moving day.
Matane stretches along the river and on both sides of the Matane River. Near downtown, you find older houses and small apartment buildings; further out, neighbourhoods of single-family homes with driveways.
Tell us where the truck can park and whether there are stairs. Winds off the river and heavy snowfalls are common in winter: have the access cleared and check parking rules with the City.
