From Longueuil, the truck crosses to Laval and takes Highway 15 north, then Route 117 through Mont-Laurier and the La Vérendrye wildlife reserve to Val-d’Or, in Abitibi. The trip is about 535 km.

When leaving Longueuil, clear the driveway or the space in front of your door the day before so the truck can park as close as possible. In an Old Longueuil tower or near the metro, book the service elevator and loading dock with building management.
Val-d’Or grew out of gold mining in the 1930s and remains an important mining town in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. It is also the gateway to the region for those arriving from the south on Route 117.

Allow about 6 hours 25 minutes of driving, not counting breaks. Gas stations are scarce in the reserve and winter can slow traffic: depending on loading time, delivery happens the same day or the next, as agreed when you get your quote.

Pack a suitcase for the trip and your first days in Val-d’Or, and keep important documents and keys with you.
