From Longueuil, the truck bypasses Montreal on Highway 30 and joins Highway 20 west, then follows Highway 401 across Ontario, through Kingston, Toronto and Cambridge, to London. The trip is about 730 km.

When leaving Longueuil, clear the driveway or the space in front of your door the day before so the truck can park as close as possible. In an Old Longueuil tower or near the metro, book the service elevator and loading dock with building management.

From Longueuil, the truck avoids the island of Montreal on Highway 30, then joins Highway 20 west at Vaudreuil-Dorion to the Ontario border, where it becomes Highway 401. It follows it through Cornwall, Kingston and Belleville, crosses the Toronto area, then continues through Cambridge and Woodstock to London.
Allow about 7 hours 25 minutes of driving, not counting breaks; Toronto traffic can lengthen the trip. Depending on loading time, delivery happens the same day or the next, as agreed when you get your quote. London is in the same time zone as Quebec.
A move to Ontario is best prepared a few weeks ahead: a detailed inventory, boxes labelled by room and a list of valuables you keep with you. Also plan to exchange your driver’s licence, register your vehicle and sign up for the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).
Pack a suitcase for the road and your first days in London. If you are moving near the university, choose your date early: late August is in high demand.
