Moving Saint-Hubert

Moving Saint-Hubert – professional movers at the best price

Saint-Hubert has been a borough of Longueuil since the 2002 municipal merger, and it stayed part of the city after the 2006 demergers. It is home to the Saint-Hubert airport, the headquarters of the Canadian Space Agency and the École nationale d’aérotechnique, but the borough remains mainly residential: streets of bungalows and semi-detached homes, apartment buildings along the main boulevards and newer developments on its outskirts.

This variety shows in the moves we do: a house with a basement and a shed is not prepared the same way as a 4½ on the second floor.

Areas and neighbourhoods served in Saint-Hubert

We cover the whole borough: the Iberville, Laflèche, Laurendeau and Maricourt sectors, Vieux-Saint-Hubert, the streets around Parc de la Cité and its lake, and the area around the airport and Chemin de Chambly.

We also serve the neighbouring cities and boroughs: Longueuil (Vieux-Longueuil), Greenfield Park, Brossard, Saint-Lambert, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and Boucherville, as well as Montreal.

Highway 30, Taschereau and Cousineau Boulevards, Chemin de Chambly

Highway 30 connects Saint-Hubert to Brossard to the west and to the Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville area to the east. Within the borough, the main roads are Taschereau Boulevard (Route 134), Cousineau Boulevard (Route 112), Chemin de Chambly, Gaétan-Boucher Boulevard and Grande Allée. The Longueuil–Saint-Hubert station, on exo’s Mont-Saint-Hilaire line, is also a landmark for many residents.

At rush hour, Taschereau, Cousineau and the Highway 30 ramps are often busy. For a move to Montreal, the route usually goes over the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge or the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, depending on the destination address.

Bungalows, basements and the airport area

Saint-Hubert’s bungalows and semi-detached homes often have a finished basement and a shed. The driveway usually makes loading easier, but basement stairs can be narrow, so tell us about large items (sectional sofa, appliances, exercise equipment) so we can plan the right protection and enough time. For a full house, we usually recommend 3 movers with a 30-foot truck; for an apartment, 2 movers and a 20-foot truck are often enough.

For an upstairs apartment, tell us the floor and the type of staircase, indoor or outdoor: it often determines the loading time. For offices and businesses near the airport and the industrial park, see our commercial moving service.

How much does a move in Saint-Hubert cost?

Our rates start at $130/h for two movers with a 20-foot truck, with a 2-hour minimum plus 1 hour of travel. For 3 movers with a 30-foot truck, rates start at $175/h, with a 4-hour minimum plus 1 hour of travel. All our rates are listed on our prices page.

Yes. Saint-Hubert is one of Longueuil’s three boroughs, and the same rates and services apply.

What should I plan for a bungalow with a basement in Saint-Hubert?

List the contents of the basement, garage and shed in your inventory, and tell us about large items that have to go up or down the stairs. That way we plan the right truck, protection and time.

Do you move businesses in the airport sector?

Yes. Commercial moves are part of our services in Saint-Hubert, including offices and businesses near the airport.

Do you move from Saint-Hubert to Montreal or Saint-Bruno?

Yes. Highway 30 connects Saint-Hubert to Brossard and the Saint-Bruno area, and Taschereau Boulevard leads toward Brossard and Highway 10, in the direction of the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge. We also serve Longueuil and the rest of the South Shore.

How far in advance should I book a move in Saint-Hubert?

Three to four weeks ahead is a good rule of thumb. For late June and early July, the busiest period of the year, book as early as possible.
